NDASRO Board of Directors Seeks New Members

The North Dakota Association of School Resource Officers board of directors is seeking interested candidates for the following positions: president, secretary, and southwest regional representative. We are seeking motivated professionals who share a passion for NDASRO's vision and mission: 

NDASRO Vision: Promoting secure schools, empowered kids and safety-informed educators

NDASRO Mission: NDASRO supports North Dakota educators, school resource officers and other youth service professionals with the most effective and current safety training available, while providing a communication network to share information and best school safety practices


What is required of board members? We need you to commit to the mission and vision of the association, to help us remain a credible and valued resource in North Dakota for safer schools and professional training opportunities. You will be asked to attend 2-3 board meetings in Bismarck per year, as well as the annual ND School Safety Conference, which will rotate locations throughout the state - www.ndasro.org

If you are employed by a public or private school district or law enforcement agency in North Dakota, you are eligible to serve on the NDASRO BoD. If this is your calling, please submit the following to me at christopher.potter@k12.nd.us no later than midnight, March 15th, 2019: your biography and candidate statement of intent to run, and your photo. Please limit your bio and statement of intent to one page or less. 

Candidate information will be sent to this listserv on March 18th. Voting will open March 25th and conclude at 5PM March 29th. New board officers will be installed at the 2019 ND School Safety Conference in Minot, ND on June 19-22. New board members will be eligible for the NDASRO National Safety Conference Scholarship, which includes a waived $500 registration fee and up to $300 in reimbursed travel expenses.
